Lumen is a crowdfunded metabolic tracking device Which aims to analyze your breath to determine the state of your digestive system. Now, the company behind it is launching an app for the Apple Watch to make it easier for you to use the device on the go. Users will be able to use the device and then see the results on their wrist, in a way that “integrates seamlessly into everyday life,” says CTO and co-founder Avi Smila.
Basically, Lumen’s advantage is that you can learn when and when you should eat and in what amounts. The system can tell you when to eat, based on your metabolism, and suggest carbohydrate meals, meal plans, and macros for the day. If the lack of a smartwatch app has kept you from buying Lumen just yet, you can get a unit for $199, plus a monthly subscription of $19 a month.
