In preparation for the restaurant Denis Villeneuve DuneAnd Zendaya definitely looks like she’s going to be in for more than she actually is. Trailers imply that her personality Chaney may be more than just a girl who chases — or cheers up, depending on your point of view — the dreams of Paul Atreides by Timothée Chalamet, while the actual movie itself falls remarkably short in that regard. Fortunately, it will probably be more personal in the supplement.

Talking to final date for their cover story on Hit the box office surpriseZendaya promised that Chani’s story will be explored a lot more in the upcoming second chapter. “I could stay there longer, which is great,” she joked. Before she was even cast, and before the movie even started casting, she threw her name out there — that was before she topped HBO’s trance (It was assumed Only one Spider-Man movie under her belt), and she knew she had nothing to really prove that she could be in a sci-fi movie.

Although the time she spent filming was short, she had nothing but positive things to say about her time filming in Jordan. “Dennis is great at giving you structure, but it also gives you the freedom inside of it,” she said. “I could just take it feeling Chani… I immediately felt connected to her. I wish I had more time with her and everyone else. I didn’t want to leave.” By the time she got to Jordan, she had to meet all the people who were already in their stationary clothes, which was “a very nice way to present to everyone, very much in their character basically.”

Later in the cover story, Chalamet himself was asked about Zendaya, and he went for full man-wife status. “Zendaya He is Chaney, and it’s amazing to witness,” she gushed. Describing the scene of her pulling her mask down was a pretty big deal, both in the movie and on set: “The day it was like, oh my God, Chaney has arrived.” Knowing that the love between Paul and Chani would go on and on and on throughout the books, he had some very glowing things to say that would make fans of the novels happy.” Our relationship wasn’t just alive in Jordan, not only was she living on screen now, she’s just been there The first reading of chemistry. It seemed clear.”

Dune: Part Two Zendaya will come to theaters on October 20, 2023.
