The past few years have seen a successful series of films and shows based on Video Games, primarily from Netflix. With a futuristic series based on science fiction franchises mass effect And Hello In the works, as well as items based on various Ubisoft properties such as Doctrine killerAnd Players have no shortage of seeing some of their favorite franchises making a successful (hopefully) leap to another medium. But the bigger question comes in how these games will be presented in the future.

Netflix animated mods for games like Castlevania, DOTA, And the magician Fun, if not new, highs of this kind were noted thanks to the work done by their studios. Show like mysterious It excels not only because it’s so good, but because Riot and the team at Fortiche put their past experience with the animated videos of League of Legends Very useful to present one of the most pleasant surprises of the year. Moments like Ekko vs. Jinx or a young Jayce witnessing the beauty of magic for the first time carry a sense of luxury that can only truly come from the animation team being given the freedom to do what they do best with the most resources at their disposal.

Live action is an entirely different beast. Sometimes you get the classics like the original Mortal Kombat, Detective Pikachu, And the surprisingly good thing sonic the hedgehog. (Remember how we were supposed to get movies bioshock, gears of war, And Disreputable? happy times.) The stigma against animation, at least in the West, meant that the live-action versions carried a greater sense of legitimacy and status, and AAA games were more than happy to present themselves as interactive movies. But somehow, that’s the problem for some of the games that are being adapted: you could argue that Naughty Dogs are dear ones Anonymous And the last of us, In addition to the gearbox loot shooter Borderlands, It will end with an expensive repetition of moments that players have emotionally attached to years ago.

Normally, the question would be what game should be adapted next, but we want to mix things up, so: do you prefer live action mods for video games, or do you want more animated versions? Do you have any particular favourites? Let us know in the comments below.
