Seven comics that will challenge your view of the world

This week we were honored to speak with Michael Camper, photojournalist and founder of the Bronx Documentary Center, who shared 10 photos that shaped his career as an educator and journalist. A catastrophic apartment fire in the Bronx on Sunday killed 17 people. We looked at photos of how residents and first responders reacted after the fire.

National Geographic reporters have attempted to track down “sloths” (the animals are often trafficked illegally as pets), while Reuters looked at the survival chances of cougars as humans expand their lands in Washington state. NPR has compiled dramatic scenes from protests in Kazakhstan, and Magnum photographer Alec Soth has put together a new exhibition, covered by The Guardian, about his years of road travels. These photos are, not surprisingly, wonderful. For those of us stuck at home, the New York Times 52 Places List has just been released—and how I can’t wait to visit them!
