Artificial pancreas successfully trialled for use by type 2 diabetes patients: gadgets


I mean, couldn’t they kind of already it was just more focused on type 1 because it’s expensive as fuck? I guess studies probably only covered T1 before, but it’s not surprising it also works on the generally more stable T2. There are several insulin pumps that are closed loop now. I doubt we will see much of it without insurance companies getting on board though.

Many insurances still will only cover Libre for T2, let alone Dexcom and an insulin pump in the US at least. Maybe other countries will cover it though?
